Paul Wesselmann event rescheduled to May 16, 6:30pm
Paul Wesselmann had been scheduled to speak several weeks ago at the Appleton Public Library. Inclement weather forced the cancellation of his talk, “Reaching Out, Lifting Up: Connecting with Youth in Crisis. An Evening with Paul Wesselmann.” It’s now been rescheduled for Monday, May 16, 6:30-8:30pm, in the lower level of the Appleton Public Library. Click the following link for more information:

Winter Storm Update
STREETS & PLOWING
- The following is a direct quote from a 10:30 email that I received from the City of Appleton’s Deputy Director of Public Works:
“Because of the timing of the storm we began our plowing event about 3:30 A.M. this morning. After we plowed our arterial streets we began plowing residential streets about 6:00 A.M. They will not be completed until early afternoon. The forecast for the remainder of the day calls for 2 to 4 more inches of snow with 20 to 30 MPH winds gusting up to 40 MPH. We will plow our arterial streets again after we complete our routes.”
At this point, a Snow Emergency has *not* been declared by the City of Appleton. So, there are no street parking restrictions.
VALLEY TRANSIT
- I just got off the phone with Valley Transit. As of now, all bus routes are running on schedule. That’s quite a feat…(winter) hats off to our city’s bus drivers!
CITY CANCELLATIONS
- All APRD Swim Lessons for today (March 23) have been cancelled.
- A 6:30pm event at Appleton Public Library, “Reaching Out, Lifting Up” with Paul Wesselmann, has been cancelled.
Please check back for further updates this evening.
